Sponsor a Learner at Diepsloot Combined School for R500 for 2019
If you can't attend the event but would like to support the work we do in Diepsloot using Phono-Graphix, you may be interested in Sponsoring a learner at Diesploot Combined School for the 2019 Literacy Programme.
When you sponsor a child like Itumeleng, Musawenkosi, Revelation, Lauren or Keorapetse for R500, we allocate a learner to you and send you a photo. We then send progress reports and updates on their progress at various stages in the year.
Meet a few of our gorgeous Grade 2 learners -
ready and eager to learn with your help
1. Itumeleng is 7 years old. He told us that he lives with his mommy and daddy and 6 year old sister. He likes to play ball and eat vegetables.
2. Musawenkosi is 7 years old and lives with his older sister. He likes soccer and books.
THANK YOU TRACY PITCHER FOR SPONSORING MUSAWENKOSI THIS WEEK.
3. Revelation is 7 years old. She lives with her mother and big brother. She likes to play with the skipping rope and enjoys pizza and reading.
4. Lauren is 7 years old. She lives with her mother, brother and sister. When she grows up she wants to be a clinic sister.
5. Keorapetse is 7 years old. She lives with her mother and she has 2 sisters and 2 brothers and likes to skip.

Join us in Diepsloot and become a volunteer Buddy Reader on a Monday
and/or Tuesday morning
Follow this link to see how you can get involved. We meet in Dainfern and carpool to Diepsloot together on Monday and Tuesday mornings. No teaching experience is required. You can observe on your first few visits and training mainly happens "on the job", but we do run informal workshops at least once a term.
If you are already trained in Phono-Graphix, this is an excellent way to get more exposure to the method. It's also a perfect opportunity to complete your internship/certification. Please get in touch to see how you and/or your school can get involved.
Thank you
